About Francis Alexander Solicitors
We are a Manchester based specialist solicitors practice dedicated to pursuing claims only for the injured person (or the claimant) in accident and disease claims. We will not work for insurance companies who defend claims initiated by genuine persons who have been injured through no fault of their own. We also have dedicated departments for employment law, wills and probate as well as conveyancing.
We are not a Claims management company (similar to the now defunct Accident Group) nor will we sell your claim on to the highest bidder. These companies are NOT regulated and should be avoided.
They add NO VALUE to your claim.
We operate on a No Win- No Fee basis for accident and disease claims and we do not charge you if you win or lose. We offer a contingency fee service for employment and criminal injury cases. We will insure your case in the event of a loss but this charge will be claimed on your behalf from the other party-you pay nothing up front as we are able to defer all payments for disbursements -ie medical fees, until the end of your case and then the other party or insurer will repay the costs. We will not look to you for any shortfall and our message is clear:
WE HAVE NEVER TAKEN A PENNY FROM ANY OF OUR CLIENTS
COMPENSATION PAYMENTS FROM ACCIDENT/DISEASE CASES.
What we don't do with your accident or disease case:
- sell your claim to another solicitor or claims "farmer"/claims management company
- charge you a penny
- deduct a penny if you are successful
- treat you as a number

- provide direct access to a qualified lawyer

We are a small dedicated team of lawyers based in South Manchester. The collective experience of all staff covers every possible aspect of accident claims and include:

We have enjoyed an excellent success rate so far and have been involved in working closely with Trades Unions and Staff association in helping to improve health and safety awareness in work places throughout the North of England.
The practice is led by Principal Solicitor, Alexander Speed who has qualified both as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, as well as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in England and Wales. In 2007, he added the additional qualification of Domestic Energy Assessor to his credit and also has a certificate in Management. He has chaired various charities including the Toc-C Manchester Childrens Camp, Radio Lollipop and was also a volunteer counselor with Childline UK. In his spare time, he coaches Rugby Union and is also a respected Rugby referee. He has appeared on Blue-Peter,Look North-West and on Hearts of Gold. The firm currently sponsors Marple Athelic under 10's and has a close relationship with Our Lady of Lourdes school in Goa, India.
50% of the work in the practice is industrial work related accidents and disease and he is backed by other, well experienced lawyers.
